Peloponnese Hiking Tour 2026: Two Successful Departures, Spring and Autumn

We are delighted to share that our two 2026 Peloponnese hiking tour departures finished successfully. The first ran in spring, and the second ran in autumn. Each tour lasted 10 days and welcomed French-speaking hikers. In addition, our guide Fivos Tsaravopoulos led both groups.

Two departures, one 10-day itinerary

We organised these tours with Allibert Trekking. Travellers who booked directly with us also joined. As a result, both groups enjoyed ten days full of surprises. Moreover, their feedback was excellent.

Starting in mountain Corinthia, at Lake Doxa

The itinerary begins in the mountains of Corinthia, beside the beautiful Lake Doxa. However, this region looks very different from the image many visitors have of the Peloponnese. Then the route crosses forests, waymarked paths and villages. Therefore, walking blends with local culture and food.

The biggest surprise: how green Greece is

One thing surprised both groups: Greece is very green. Indeed, flowering trees, turquoise springs and forested mountains dominate the landscape. Fertile valleys complete the picture. As a result, the Peloponnese looks nothing like the dry landscape many people expect. Spring and autumn are therefore excellent seasons for hiking in Greece. From ancient Mycenae to the headland of Cape Tainaro

The tour combines walking with the great sites of the Peloponnese. For example, the groups visited the Lion Gate at Mycenae, the stadium of Ancient Messene and the medieval city of Mystras. Further south, they then hiked through the wild Mani. There, a headland near Cape Tainaro, the southernmost tip of mainland Greece, gave them open sea on both sides.

Hiking with a French-speaking guide

Fivos Tsaravopoulos guided both tours in French. In fact, he knows these trails very well. Along the way, the groups discovered ancient sites and historic fortresses. They also took a boat trip through a cave. Finally, they shared picnics by the sea and tastings of local olive oil.
