Terms of Use & Booking Conditions

1. Terms and Conditions of Website Use

Welcome to www.hike-greece.com (the “Website”), owned and operated by the Social Cooperative Enterprise «Monopatia tis Elladas – Paths of Greece» (the “Company”, “Paths of Greece”, “we”, “us”). Hike Greece is the specialized travel agency brand of the Company. Access to and use of this Website is subject to these Terms of Use and current Greek legislation.

2. Intellectual Property & Third-Party Assets

All proprietary content on the Website, including texts, photographs, trail field notes, and unique itineraries, is the intellectual property of Paths of Greece.

Digital Platform & Cartography: Our Digital Trail Companion is powered by third-party software providers (including Vamoos). The software, application interface, and underlying base maps are the exclusive property of these third-party providers and are used by Hike Greece under license. Users may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the mapping assets found within our digital companion.

3. Description of Services & Limitation of Liability

Hike Greece provides high-end hiking experiences. While we use professional-grade digital tools and architects to design our paths, the nature of outdoor exploration involves inherent variables. The Company's liability is strictly limited to the value of the services provided.

Assumption of Risk: Participation in hiking and trekking activities involves risks including terrain changes, weather events, and physical exertion. Travellers assume all responsibility for their physical safety and health during our tours.

4. Package Prices & Payment (International)

All prices are stated in Euro and include VAT where applicable. For international bank transfers, particularly from non-EU jurisdictions, the “OUR” instruction must be selected. All intermediary bank fees are the sole responsibility of the Traveller; the Company must receive the exact net amount stated in the Booking Confirmation.

5. Cancellations & Changes (P.D. 7/2018)

These terms comply with Presidential Decree 7/2018 regarding package travel arrangements. Cancellations must be made in writing via email.

Up to 90 days before departure: 10% of deposit retained for administrative fees.
90 to 45 days: 30% of total package value retained.
44 to 15 days: 70% of total package value retained.
14 days or less / No-show: 100% of total package value retained.

6. Professional Insurance & Safety

Paths of Greece maintains mandatory Insolvency Protection and Professional Third-Party Liability Insurance (Insurer: NP INSURANCE, Policy Nos: 2224026171 & 2224026172). We strongly recommend travellers maintain personal travel insurance covering medical emergencies and trip cancellations.
